As part of the visit of the working group of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, meetings were held with officials of a number of companies and organizations in Osaka, Dunyo reported.

During the interview with the director of the International Relations Department of the World Exhibition "Osaka EXPO-2025", which is planned to be held in Osaka in 2025, Y. Miyagawa and the director of the Technical Service and Construction Department, M. Ato, the parties discussed the issues of placing Uzbekistan’s national stand at the exhibition.

During the trip, talks were held with S. Ogiri, the CEO of Daido Industries INC. He announced that the help of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) the project "Modernization of the Uzbek Specialized Hematology and Transfusion Medical Center" under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan is planned to be implemented by the company.

About US$ 1 million will be allocated by JICA for this project. The project envisages equipping the blood transfusion center with modern laboratory equipment. In order to finance this project, JICA and Daido Industries INC. are to sign a bilateral agreement in the first half of this March.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a practical visit of executives of the company and JICA to Uzbekistan in April, and during it to hold negotiations with the leadership of the Ministry of Health, the Republican Specialized Hematology and Blood Transfusion Scientific and Practical Medical Center on the implementation of this project in August-September of this year.
