Regulation for the procedure of providing hotel services in Uzbekistan was approved by the of the Cabinet of Ministers' Measures to boost the tourism sector in Uzbekistan Resolution, the State Unitary Enterprise/Certification Center for Tourist Services said.
According to the clause 5 of the said document, hotel services should be provided regardless of the permanent residence address, citizenship, family and marriage relations of individuals, as well as other factors that restrict the right to privacy.
It is noted that business entities providing hotel services should develop internal regulations. However, the developed internal regulations should not conflict with the above provision.
In addition, by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated June 19, 2017, the national driver's license of a new type was given the status of an official ID document.
In this regard, hotels and other accommodation facilities are not allowed to refuse to provide hotel services upon presentation of a driver's license.
