During the visit of the working group led by the Deputy Minister of Transport Abdusamat Muminov to Georgia on February 15-17, he held talks with the leadership of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Georgia’s Railways, the ports of Poti and Batumi, executives of the port's private terminal.
According to the Ministry of Transport, at a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Guram Guramishvili, the parties discussed organizing the constant transportation of Uzbek goods to the European and American countries through the ports of Georgia and also considered aspects of reducing the cost and terms of cargo transportation, expanding tariff preferences.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on the efficient use of the infrastructure of the ports of Poti and Batumi. As part of the areas of cooperation they also identified the tasks to be implemented in the future.
