President's Envoy for Afghanistan Ismatulla Ergashev hosted the senior adviser of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Frank Remus.
The parties exchanged opinions were on current issues on the general agenda, in particular, the Frank Remus highly valued Uzbekistan's efforts to provide all-round assistance to the Afghan people, as well as to faciltate cargo transportation to Afghanistan through the Termiz international multifunctional transport-logistics hub for humanitarian assistance, which was established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In this regard, the parties emphasized the importance of enhancing relations between Uzbekistan and international partners and also discussed the use of the international hub in Termiz, which has all the necessary infrastructure for delivering goods not only to Afghanistan, but also to other countries of the world.
