The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Russian president Vladimir Putin on Thursday. According to the presidential press service, the parties discussed "the ways to further advance the multifaceted cooperation and strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia."
They also focused on "the issues of boosting the two-way trade, deepening industrial cooperation between leading enterprises, and implementing investment projects in priority sectors within the framework of a joint project office."
While, they exchanged views on the issues of stepping up cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The Kremlin press service briefly reported on the conversation. "A number of ways to further expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation were considered."
