Four men were arrested on suspicion of raping a 39-year-old woman in Tashkent province, the press service of the regional police department reported.
The attack on a woman took place on December 28 last year in the village of Chimboyli, Bostanlyk district.
Men aged between 25-27 were arrested in an operation, and were put into custody.
According to the spokesman to the General Prosecutor's Office, Khayot Shamsutdinov, a criminal case has been launched under Rape and Forcible satisfaction of sexual desire in an unnatural form of the Criminal Code.
Investigative actions are ongoing, with 10 forensic and other types of examinations assigned.
The investigative process is under the control of the prosecutor's office of the Tashkent province, the Prosecutor General's Office stressed.
