Passage of citizens, buses and cars through the border customs posts of the Syrdarya province customs department and Tashkent province customs department will be suspended from February 15, the Customs Committee said.
This is due to the reconstruction of the Atameken (Syrdarya) and Kazigurt (S. Nazhimov) checkpoints in Kazakhstan. During the overhaul, only trucks with a carrying capacity of more than 3.5 tons will be able to cross the border at these points.
As an alternative, the public is requested to move through the Gishtkuprik and Yallama checkpoints, which operate around the clock, as well as the Malik and Ok Oltin checkpoints, which operate during daylight hours.
