Russia is poised to sign an intergovernmental agreement on migration Russia is poised to sign an intergovernmental agreement on migration, and efforts are also underway to open a pre-migration training center in Uzbekistan ,the director of the so-called 3rd department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Sternik told the RIA Novosti.

“In accordance with our legislation, the centers will provide a whole range of services (dactyloscopy, photographing, registration) to those wishing to travel to Russia. Consultations are provided for organized recruitment for Russian employers, the issuance of the necessary medical certificates,” he said.

According to him, "we are jointly engaged in streamlining the rapid migration flows, which is in the common interest."

“We hope to reach the signing of relevant intergovernmental agreements with Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and, possibly, Tajikistan by the end of this year,” he added.
