The average monthly salary of Uzbeks for 2022 has been unveiled by the Agency on Statistics in a report. Reportedly, in January-December 2022, the highest average monthly salaries before tax by territories were recorded in Tashkent city (6,314.4 thousand soums, or $ 570), Navoi province (5,125.3 thousand soums, or $ 460), Tashkent province (3,946.9 thousand soums, or $ 355), Andijan province (3,381.8 thousand soums, or $ 304) and Bukhara province (3,310.0 thousand soums, or $ 300).

In January-December 2022, the highest growth of average salaries in provinces were recorded in Tashkent city (128.2%), Khorezm (123.1%), Andijan (122.6%), Surkhandarya (122.0%), Samarkand (121.7%) and Namangan (120.6%) provinces.

In January-December 2022, the highest average monthly salary by type of economic activity was in banking, insurance, leasing and credit-intermediary activities - 10,817.1 thousand soums, or $ 975. Also in the IT, it reached 7,556.4 thousand soums, or $ 680, transportation and storage - 5,079.8 thousand soums, or $ 455, industry - 4,920.0 thousand soums, or $ 443, which is significantly higher than the national average.

In the field of education and healthcare, as well as in social services, average monthly salaries is low, respectively, 2,695.4 thousand soums, or $ 242 and 2,611.7 thousand soums, or $ 235.
