Gas explosion occurred in a four-story residential building in microdistrict 22nd of Nukus city in an apartment on the fourth floor on Sunday, at about 16:15.
As a result, ceilings from the fourth to the first floor collapsed in several apartments, the operational headquarters for the investigation of the emergency reported.
During the explosion, two people, 18 and 19, had burns and were hospitalized. Experts are clearing the rubble and conducting search and rescue operations, including the detection of possible victims under the fallen slabs.
All residents were evacuated from the house, they were provided with temporary housing and food.
