On January 23, the Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov hosted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, who arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the Foreign Ministers Council meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the counterparts discussed the ways to advance the Uzbek-Pakistani strategic partnership ties in order to effectively implement the agreements reached at the highest level and the regional politics, including the situation in Afghanistan.
They pointed to the importance of the effective use of the existing potential for cooperation in the transport and communications sphere and the intensification of economic diplomacy.
