Uzbekistan Airways signed a deal with Airbus on purchase of 12 A320 Neo family aircraft, Dunyo reported. Eight of the aircraft are A320neo and four are A321neo. The aircrafts have an Airbus Airspace cabin. Uzbekistan Airways plans to use the new aircraft to further expand its flight detinations.

"Our cooperation with Uzbekistan Airways began in 1993. It is a great honor for us that another aircraft belonging to the A320neo family has been chosen to expand the airline's fleet. We are watching how the air transportation market is developing in the Central Asian region. Modern and efficient aircraft of the A320neo family will allow Uzbekistan Airways to benefit from this growth and take one of the leading roles in the region," said Christian Scherer, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Department, Airbus.
