Today, the Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Tim Torlot.
The parties had a thorough exchange of views on the bilateral ties state and the ways to advance them.
They expressed interest in stepping up economic diplomacy and in this context, the prospects for the implementation of specific joint investment projects, as well as the expansion of trade between the two countries.
The sides reviewed some international and regional issues, in particular, the cooperation of the two countries over the Afghan crisis.
The agenda of the meeting also included issues of developing partnerships in the scientific and educational area, establishing cooperation in the field of labor migration, expanding cultural and humanitarian ties and further strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue.
