Meeting of the Ambassadors of the Central Asian countries with the officials of the Secretariat General of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) took place on Monday at the headquarters of the organization, Dunyo reported.

The theme of the talks focused on the timelines of holding the maiden GCC-Central Asia Strategic Dialogue Summit in Saudi Arabia and the discussion of the related issues.

The event was chaired by Abdel Aziz Hamad Aluwaisheg, Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs. He stated that the Gulf states had always had good relations with the Central Asian countries and are interested in further advancing friendly relations with them in the future.

He noted Uzbekistan's proposal regarding the timelines of holding the maiden GCC-Central Asia Strategic Summit, and emphasized Uzbekistan's activity in this format.
