The Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov today hosted the Ambassador of Iran, Hamid Nairabadi, the Dunyo reported. The parties underscored that Uzbek-Iranian ties had been developing at a completely new pace in recent years and emphasized the importance of the full implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Iran Ibrahim Raisi to Uzbekistan (September 2022). They also focused on the ways to expand cooperation in the field of transport.

The sides exchanged views on the schedule of dialogues at the bilateral level and within the framework of regional organizations and noted that the positions of Uzbekistan and Iran were close on the issue of Afghanistan.

The readiness of the parties to promote joint projects in the trade and economic sphere was confirmed.

Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the field of transport, including the development of new international transport corridors, taking into account the interests of the two countries.
