New private airline Centrum Air received the delivery of two planes in Tashkent from Vilnius Wednesday. They landed one after another - at 19:07 and 19:18, the Uzbekistan Airports said.
Airbus A320-232 aircraft became the carrier's first aircraft. In the near future, the company plans to acquire another board - the Boeing 737.
Centrum Air positions itself as a low-cost carrier whose goals are "providing affordable domestic and international flights" and "achieving competition."
According to Aerospace Lad, Centrum Air was set up by My Freighter, a private cargo company.
Over the past two years, several private airlines have been set up in Uzbekistan.
