President’s draft Additional measures for the further development of transport infrastructure and the introduction of a digital traffic control system in the city of Tashkent Decree has been posted for public input.
The draft submitted by Tashkent city mayor’s office is supposed to approve the proposal of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Internal Affairs on implementation of the project "Implementing a digital traffic management system and road safety on the streets and intersections of the city of Tashkent" for introduction of:
- a centralized digital control system (intelligent traffic light system) that allows efficient management and distribution of traffic flows at intersections and highways with heavy traffic with the widespread use of digital technologies and innovative approaches;
- a special automated software complex for photo and video footages (intelligent photo and video camera), establishing traffic violations on highways and ensuring the inevitability of punishment for any violation;
- creation of a system of stationary points on the main highways entering Tashkent to control the mass and dimensions of vehicles;
- creation of a single center for organizing and managing the transport system of Tashkent as part of the Digital Development Department under the Tashkent mayor’s office for the purpose of centralized management of intelligent traffic light systems, intelligent photo and video complexes, stationary control posts for the weight and dimensions of vehicles and roadside paid parking spaces, monitoring and analytical work and further improvement of road traffic systemic and placement of this center in the building of the Digital Situation Center of the Tashkent city mayor’s office.
