Due to extreme cold weather, the volume of natural gas supplies to some large industrial enterprises was sharply cut, and to the methane filling stations was temporarily it was stopped for a short period, the press service of the Ministry of Energy said in a statement.
“Due to the longstanding low temperatures, there is a sharp drop in gas pressure in pipelines. Measures are being taken to deliver natural gas primarily to households, power generating enterprises and social facilities. To this end, the volume of natural gas supplies to some large industrial enterprises was sharply reduced and the operation of gas stations was temporarily suspended,” the statement said.
Also, in order to fully meet the growing demand, gasoline and diesel fuel products will be sold in additional volumes, including at the expense of reserves.
“Dear fellow countrymen, we ask you to use public transport as much as possible these days when the temperature has dropped, stay at home except for necessary purposes, and use electricity and natural gas economically in your home,” the Ministry of Energy concluded.
