Cabinet of Ministers issued amendments to the resolution “On measures to simplify the procedure for registering foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan” due to the improvement of legislation for providing foreign citizens the right to obtain a residence permit in Uzbekistan.
The amendments provide for amendments and additions in connection with the simplification of the registration procedure for foreigners and stateless persons and allows consideration of applications through the online system.
In addition, the total time for review and issuance of permits to foreign citizens and stateless persons for permanent residence:
- in Karakalpakstan autonomy and provinces, shall be reduced from 98 to 68 working days, and the review stages are reduced from 10 to 8;
- in Tashkent city and the Tashkent province, shall be reduced from 128 to 68 days, and the review stages shall be reduced from 11 to 8.
