Two convicts who escaped from the colony-settlement No. 30 of Zafarabad district of Jizzakh province were detained on the night of January 5-6 in one of the border districts of Andijan province, the Department for the Execution of Punishments under the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
N. M. and K. A., who escaped on January 4, were put on the wanted list. Now they are placed in a temporary detention center.
An investigation has been assigned, and a legal assessment will be given to the actions of convicts who left the penitentiary without permission.
The department noted that convicts who escape are returned under strict supervision, that is, in a colony of general, strict or special regimen, where they previously served their sentences.
