Uzhydromet published an emergency announce: a cold air mass formed in the northern areas of the European part of Russia will enter the territory of Uzbekistan on January 9 from the Volga region.
From January 9 to 11, it will rain and snow in the most of the country. It will snow, sometimes heavily in the foothills and mountainous areas. While, on January 9-10, the wind will rise in places to 15-20 m/s.
Abnormally cold weather is expected across Uzbekistan on January 10-15. The air temperature at night will be -12 ... -17 degrees Celsius, in the daytime -5 ... -8 degrees. In the north, the temperature will drop to -17...-22 degrees at night, in some places in Ustyurt and in desert areas - to -25...-27, in the daytime to -7...-10. In the south and in the regions of the Ferghana Valley at night -5 ... -10 degrees, in the daytime up to -2 ... -5 degrees.
