Sberbank, the largest bank in Russia started registering its trademarks in Uzbekistan. Relevant information appeared in the database of the Portal of electronic intellectual property governmental services.

The request was submitted on December 26, 2022. The portal contains a bank request for registration of two trademarks (names in Latin and Cyrillic alphabet) and a logo.

For information, Sberbank, founded in 1991, is the largest bank in Russia by assets. Currently, the bank has more than 13,600 branches and 106 million active customers in the Russian Federation. According to the Moscow Stock Exchange, the bank's market capitalization surpasses 3 trillion rubles ($43.3 billion).

After the war in Ukraine, a number of sanctions were imposed on Russian banks. In particular, in June 2022, Sberbank was disconnected from the SWIFT financial system.
