Shukhrat Ganiev has been appointed to the position of Deputy Advisor to the President. He will in charge of development of economic sectors, investments and the implementation of foreign trade policy course, UzA said.
Shukhrat Ganiev, 54, graduated from the Tashkent State Agrarian University (1992) and the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (2005).
He began his career as a lead specialist of Margilan base of cooperation association of Fergana province. In 2004-2007 he worked as deputy chairman of the board of Uzkimyosanoat, in 2007-2008 - head of the department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources. In 2008-2011, he was the first deputy governor of Fergana province in charge of agriculture and water management.
From 2011 to 202, Shukhrat Ganiev served as the Fergana province governor.
In September 2020, he was appointed to the position of Deputy Prime Minister responsible for development of the agricultural and food sectors.
