On December 29, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the National Supreme Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
According to the presidential press service, the parties the topical ways to further advance the Uzbek-Turkmen ties of friendship, trust, good neighborliness and strategic partnership and focused on the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level during the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan on July 14-15 and the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan on October 20-21 this year.
They commended the significant intensification of cooperation in all priority areas the growing trade volumes, joint projects of cooperation in the field of industry and energy and emphasized that the inter-parliamentary dialogue has reached a new level, including in the Central Asian region.
At the end of the conversation, they exchanged heartfelt congratulations on the upcoming New Year, wishing well-being, peace and prosperity to the two fraternal peoples.
