Criminal case has been initiated against a woman in Samarkand province who brutally beat her young child, the province police department said.
Reportedly, on December 24, a female resident of Vatak mahalla of Urgut district G. O. quarreled during a telephone conversation with her husband, who is working in Russia. After an argument, she lost her temper and beat their minor child, recording everything on camera. She sent the video to her husband threatening to kill their children.
The mother-in-law of the man turned to the author of the Telegram channel muxbir.uz with a request to shed light on the case of child abuse. She reported that the daughter-in-law regularly beats the children and may kill them.
The Urgut district mayor’s office reported that at present the child's condition is satisfactory, he is under the supervision of doctors. The health and mental state of the mother will be assessed by experts.
