During the roundtable entitled: New Uzbekistan - a reliable partner in a changing and interconnected world", Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov focused on the development of dialogue in the Central Asia Plus formats.

According to the Foreign Ministry, today meetings in the "Central Asia Plus" format are being held with the United States, China, Germany, Italy, India, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Russia, the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the European Union.

“This mechanism makes it possible to regularly discuss the state and prospects for cooperation between the countries of the region with key foreign partners and organizations,” the report says.

The Foreign Minister mentioned the first EU-Central Asia international conference on interconnectivity recently held in Samarkand: Global Gateway.

It discussed topical issues of promoting sustainable interconnectedness, developing coordinated measures to support green development and recovery from the consequences of the pandemic.
