Chair of Qozoa Naiman neighbourhood in Pastdargom district was relieved of his powers before deadline, the Samarkand province department for support of mahalla and older generation reported.
On November 20, the anonymous Telegram channel Kompromatuzb circulated photos showing neighbourhood chairman Akhror Arslonov and several other men playing cards for money.
The department informs that already on November 21, Ahror Arslonov filed a complaint for early end of the powers of the chair "due to family reasons."
On the same day, a meeting of the neighbourhood official satisfied the chairman's complaint to end his powers.
D. Gapparova, an activist on women's affairs, reportedly became the interim chair of the neighbourhood.
