On March 16, 2017, the Uzbek Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Suma Chakrabarti, who arrived in Uzbekistan as the head of the EBRD delegation, a statement of the Foreign Ministry said.
The sides discussed prospects for restoring the ties between Uzbekistan and the Bank in order to build full-fledged, constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Minister Kamilov expressed interest in the EBRD's participation in the implementation of the Uzbekistan’s Development Strategy on the five priority areas for 2017-2021 and other activities aimed at large-scale reforms and deep transformations in the country.
