On 5 February 2018, the IT Development Ministry hosted a meeting with the visiting World Bank mission to discuss preparations of Digital CASA project and issues related to digital development.
The sides exchanged views on the progress of the Digital CASA project, which comprises development of digital infrastructure, e-government system, digital economy other components.
The Uzbek side voiced its expectations from the Digital CASA project in Uzbekistan and its proposals for developing cooperation with the World Bank in the field of information technology and telecommunications.
The sides also agreed to continue exchange of views for further development of mutually beneficial forms of cooperation.
The mission will also hold meetings in a number of ministries and departments, as well as IT firms.
