President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed Approving an International Treaty Decree Thursday approving the Framework Agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Investment Bank (EIB) on the activities of the bank in Uzbekistan.
The agreement, signed on 13 October 2017 in Washington (USA), is aimed at “further strengthening cooperation with international financial institutions, attraction of foreign investments and technical assistance into Uzbek economy.”
The head of Uzbekistan assigned the Investments Committee as the responsible body for cooperation with the EIB and implementing this international treaty.
The Ministry of Justice was instructed to issue in due course a legal opinion acceptable for the European Investment Bank on the validity of the Framework Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the European Investment Bank.
The Uzbek Foreign Ministry was instructed to send a relevant notification on implementation of the domestic procedures by the Republic of Uzbekistan, necessary for entry into force of the international treaty.
