Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev oversaw the signing of deals worth as much as $22 billion during the state visit to Beijing on May 12-13, as Uzbekistan looks to cement ties with the world's second-largest economy.

The agreements include deals for purchase of gas, infrastructure, training, project finance and other sectors:

The Chairman of UzbekNeftGaz Alisher Sultanov stated that the company signed 10 contracts worth $ 5 billion with Chinese partners.

Among which a three-year contract for the export of Uzbek gas to China, however Alisher Sultanov did not specify the contract cost nor the volume of exported gas.

-A loan agreement with the China Development Bank worth $ 1.2 billion for financing the Uzbekistan GTL project in Kashkadarya province.

-An agreement for setting up of a joint venture for manufacture of biogas units.
