President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare a detailed plan of specific measures to mitigate all possible negative socio-economic consequences "given the current situation in Uzbekistan certain key trade partners", announced today the president’s spokesman Sherzod Asadov.

The plan is reportedly to be worked out in the context of each sector and province of Uzbekistan.

“Particular attention was paid to the tasks of ensuring the stability of the financial system, the stable operation of enterprises and the timely implementation of the planned investment projects,” the report says.

“The heads of industries and territories have been tasked with taking additional measures to ensure the reliability of the transport and logistics network, including taking into account the further diversification of the geography of export deliveries,” the presidential press secretary said in a statement.

“Province governors are instructed to enhance measures to ensure social protection of the population, expediting creation of new jobs and employment of the unemployed population, as well as constant monitoring of the inflation rate and taking preventive measures to prevent sharp fluctuations in prices in the consumer market,” the statement highlighted.
