First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade hosted Pakistani delegation headed by First Deputy Minister of Commerce Muhammad Saleh Farooqi, the MIFT reported.

The parties discussed the ways to deepen Uzbek-Pakistani ties in investment, trade, economic and transport and logistics areas.

In particular, measures were discussed the expediting the approval of the draft Preferential Trade Agreement between the two countries and considered developing of a "road map" for the practical implementation of the terms of the Agreement on transit and trade, signed during the visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Uzbekistan (July 15-16, 2021), was.

Further steps were discussed on the implementation of Termez-Mazar-i-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar Trans-Afghan railway corridor project.

An agreement was reached on organizing visits of Pakistani business delegations to Uzbekistan to deepen industrial cooperation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain active dialogue in all areas of cooperation.
