Uzbekistan produced a total of 774,000 tons of crude oil in 2021m recording an increase by 2.9% to 2020, the State Statistics Committee said in a report.

As reported earlier, the latest reforms, the development of industry, and population result in spike in the demand for energy, which will almost double by 2030.

Hydrocarbon reserves are declining every year, oil and gas prices are growing on the world market, which, in turn, requires to widely introduce the use of solar, wind and other renewable energy sources.

Based on this, one of the most important national goals and targets in the field of sustainable development until 2030 is a significant increase in the share of renewable energy sources. Major steps are reportedly being taken in this area.
