It is planned to ensure the stable operation of Uzbek energy system with the energy systems of neighboring countries. This is stated in the draft roadmap of the development strategy for 2022-2026 to be implemented in 2022.

In particular, the parallel operation of the Uzbek energy system with the Tajik energy system will be ensured. The restoration is envisaged of 64 km long 500 kV L-507 power transmission line; and it is also planned to start work on connecting the L-503 overhead line to the 500 kV Sogd substation in Tajikistan.

It is also proposed to reduce losses in industrial sectors and increase resource efficiency.

It is planned to develop a program for the transition to green economy and energy saving to reduce losses in industrial sectors and increase resource efficiency.

In 2022-2024, a program of technical measures will be developed to save energy resources as a result of modernization and reconstruction of production in the sectors of the economy.

Technical policies on energy saving and efficiency improvement will be developed at large industrial enterprises, and the practice of approving its indicators in the relevant business bodies will be introduced, including in the annual business plans.
