As reported earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the city of Almalyk, where he got acquainted with the work progress at the Yoshlik-1 deposit development project.
“A megaproject will be implemented in Almalyk. People of Almalyk, you do not even know how rich you are. When we started geological studies, we thought that there were some reserves. If in Muruntau, the reserves are at about 3 thousand tons, here in Almalyk, the confirmed gold reserves exceed 5 thousand tons,” the president said.
“Today I issued a new order. Here we will open the fourth and fifth plants. Imagine if earlier only two enterprises worked in Almalyk, now there will be five of them. We will open the third copper-processing plant in 2023 during the celebration of Independence Day, ”the head of state concluded.
