The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex has commenced the realization of the largest investment project within the Program of Measures to Ensure Structural Transformation, Modernization and Diversification of Production for 2015-2019 for Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Company - Development of Dalneye Field.

In this regard on March 1, 2017 of this year the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Resolution "On measures to expand the production capacities of Almalyk MMC on the basis of Dalneye field.

The goal of the project is to ensure the further balanced development, maintenance and expansion of Almalyk MMC's production capcities, increasing the raw materials base of the complex through developing copper and molybdenum ores of Dalneye field with the construction of a new mining and metallurgical complex using modern technologies and equipment meeting energy efficiency and environmental standards.

This project will be implemented from 2017 to 2028 in two phases. Phase I, from 2017 to 2021, involves the development of the Central mine of the Dalneye field, which provides for daylighting and mining operations, construction of respective production, transportation, energy and other auxiliary infrastructure facilities, as well as the acquisition of mountain , transport and other equipment.

Phase II (2019-2028) envisages the construction of a complex of processing, smelting, associated and auxiliary facilities with the 23 million tons of ore per year processing capacity with the continuation of daylighting and mining operations.
