The UAE-based Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) made the most attractive proposal in the call for bids for the 200 MW Sherabad photovoltaic plant project in the Surkhandarya region, the press service of the Ministry of Energy said.
54 companies expressed their interest for the project. Of these, 5 companies qualified for the second stage, 4 - the third:
Masdar offered 1.8045 cents per kWh.
ACWA Power - 2.4825 cents,
HK / China Power Holding International - 2.1621 cents,
Total Eren - 3.3940 cents.

After evaluating the financial proposals, the investor who will be awarded the contract will be announced, the Ministry of Energy said.
As part of the project, the investor will also have to build a new 220 kV substation and a 52 km transmission line to connect to the 500 kV Surkhan substation.
There are already several projects in the Masdar portfolio in Uzbekistan. In particular, the company will build a 100 MW PV plant in the Navoi region, a 500 MW wind power plant in Zarafshan, a 40 kW small solar power plant in the Tashkent province and others.
