A regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIGC) will take place in Almaty on February 5, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.

The event will be attended by the heads of government of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and the chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The participation of the EAEU observer states - Moldova, Uzbekistan and Cuba - is also planned.

The EIGC meeting will be held in narrow and expanded format. Its agenda includes issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation, removing barriers that impede the functioning of the internal market, as well as developing integration potential in certain sectors of the economy.

On the same day, the attendees of the EMPS meeting will visit the international forum "The Digital Future of the Global Economy" dedicated to the cooperation of digital ecosystems in order to support and stimulate innovation and technological entrepreneurship.
