The Head of State during his visit to Kashkadarya province familiarized with the project "Organization of production of gas-to-liquid (GTL) from purified methane of Shurtan Gas and Chemical Complex" (Uzbekistan GTL).
Uzbekistan GTL will be one of the most advanced energy plants in the world, producing high quality fuels, which will improve air quality, deliver a cleaner transport future and support growth and development.
When completed it will allow to annually treat 3.6 billion cub. m. of natural gas, production of 1.5 million tons of high-quality synthetic fuels, meeting the Euro 5 standard, of which, 743 000 tons of GTL diesel, 311 thousand tons of GTL kerosene (jet), 431,000 tons of GTL naphtha and 21,000 tons of LPG.
The commissioning of this new plant will give an impetus for the growth of real sectors of the economy, improve the transit potential of our country, satisfy the demand for oil, help reduce the volume of oil imports thus saving foreign currency reserves.
The construction and installation works are scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2020 with 682 jobs to be created.
