Cement production at Kuvasaycement and Akhangarancement has been suspended due to lack of gas, the Antimonopoly Committee said in a statement.

“Temperature falling below zero resulted in increased gas consumption by households, which in turn reduced gas pressure supplied to cement producers,” the statement added.

For this reason, these manufacturers did not list in the stock market last week, the committee noted.

Thus, the average daily listing volume was 30,000 tons, a 34 percent decrease to the previous listing.

At the end of November, the Ministry of Energy denied rumors that the supply of electricity to cement plants had been cut.
