In 9 months of 2020, Uzbekistan’s GDP grew by 0.4% to the last year (5.9% in the first 9 months of 2019), the State Statistics Committee said.
The share of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in the GDP growth was the highest in the reporting period. The growth in this sector stood at 3.4%, providing GDP growth by 0.8 percentage points.
Despite a high growth rate of 8.6% in the construction sector, its contribution in the GDP growth was 0.5 percentage points.
The 2.7% decrease in production in the industrial sector led to the decrease in GDP by 0.7 percentage points.
In addition, a decrease of 0.7% in the services sector had a negative impact on GDP growth of -0.2 percentage points.
The 0.6 percent decrease in net taxes on products did not have a significant negative impact on GDP growth and was at -0.04 percentage points.
