The chief of the car factory in the Navoi Free Economic Zone spoke about the provisional prices for cars that will be manufactured in the province.
According to the publication NavoiToday, cars will cost from 13 to 30 thousand US dollars.
It is expected that this US$ 12 million project will radically change the entire automotive industry in the country. In Navoi, it is planned to assemble cars manufactured in China under the Oshan brand.
According to preliminary data, the sale of new cars will begin before the year-end.
The plant is being built at the Navoi Free Economic Zone on an area of 564 hectares, where about 30 enterprises with the participation of foreign investors are now operating.
“First, we will arrange the assembly of body cars, namely for modern SUVs, pickups, minivans. At our enterprise with of 30 thousand annual car production capacity, more than 200 new jobs will be created,” said Afshin Shokiriy, the chief process-engineer.
