Turkish Aksa Energy is investing in the 240 MW combined cycle gas power plant project in Tashkent. The project is to be implemented based on the agreement with the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, Dunyo reported.

The plant is planned to be completed in one year. To speed up the work, it is planned to field some of the company's experts from other countries to Uzbekistan.

The project is implemented under the public-private partnership terms. Aksa Energy will build and operate a power plant for 25 years, the Uzbek side has taken upon itself the guarantee of providing the plant with natural gas and purchasing electricity generated by it.
