Rosgeology plans to set up a subsidiary in Uzbekistan as part of the assessment of the hydrocarbon potential and digitalization of the resource base management, the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources said.
The Committee Chairman, Bobur Islamov and the head of Rosgeology, Sergey Gorkov, in the presence of the Uzbek PM, Abdulla Aripov, signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of subsoil use in Tashkent Thursday.
According to the committer, Rosgeology will also engage in refining the geological model, study the prospects of oil and gas potential and evaluate the hydrocarbon potential, with justification for further areas of exploration for the discovery of new fields, in particular, assessing the potential of oil and gas fields in the Aral Sea.
The agreement defines the areas of interaction between the parties, including the formation of a long-term program of research work on the development and implementation of innovative technologies for the processing of industrial waste, cooperation in the development and implementation of a program to identify and evaluate the resources of rare and rare earth elements with the development of an optimal extraction technology.
“In the field of digitalization of managing the mineral resource base of Uzbekistan, the parties agreed to create a stack of software solutions for processing and analyzing data on the volume and composition of the mineral mass of industrial wastes, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of involving the mineral resources of the Republic in industrial development by developing digital geological -economic models, ”the State Committee for Geology said in a statement.
