Uzbek-French joint venture Uzenergoengineering-Assystem for designing various types of electricity networks and energy facilities using innovative technologies has been set up in Tashkent, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan said.
The JV agreement was signed on September 24 during a meeting in the Ministry of Energy with the executives of the French Assystem Engineering and Operation Services.
The agreement was yet another step in the cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Assystem. It was preceded by a conclusion of a memorandum of technical cooperation in the energy sector in May.
In March, it was reported about the possibility of creating a joint engineering enterprise between the Uzatom agency and Assystem, they reached an agreement on establishing cooperation in the field of personnel training and development of the nuclear infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
