At the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev focused on the key objectives for 2017: "We have to ensure the exports value to reach 10.8 billion dollars", - and defined the tasks that need to be resolved to this end:
The first task - to work out, within 15 days, and get approved at the meeting of a special commission, headed by U. Rozukulov, a Program of actions for all exporting enterprises.
The second task - implementation of contracts concluded in 2016 at international industrial fairs held in Tashkent and abroad for the supply of products worth 7.7 billion dollars.
"We need to continue searching for new markets in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Belarus, as well as other countries. However, it should be noted that the efforts to establish cooperation with Bulgaria on this issues was unsuccessful.
Our diplomatic missions must get more actively involved to this work. The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate, S.Safoyev, Foreign Minister A.Kamilov will be monitoring this", - the President stressed.
The third task - exports of products of SMEs via UzTadbirkorEksport and UzSanoatEksport and the Foundation at the National Bank. It is necessary to ensure the export value of no less than 1.5 billion dollars.
The fourth task - the exports of fruits and vegetables.
"I instruct the Deputy Prime Minister, Z. Mirzaev to thoroughly, within 15 days, investigate the causes of short supply of fruits and vegetables by 650 million dollars in the past year and to make concrete proposals.
We must definitely take into account the potential and the capacity of the 66 special districts of the country. From now on mayors of these districts and their first deputies will be responsible for the fulfillment of theses tasks.
