Two 230 and 280 MW capacity combined cycle plants are being erected at the Takhiatash TPP, which are due to be commissioned in 2020.
The US$ 678.2 million project’s design capacity is at 510 MW.
These plants will allow the Takhiatash TPP to cover the projected increase in electricity consumption with an annual savings of 488.6 million m3 fuel.
the average efficiency of TPPs is expected to increase from 31.21 to 49.7%, with the annual electricity output reaching 3.6 billion kWh, the annual amount of generated heat - 139,000 Gcal, and 97 new jobs to be created.
