British Petroleum (BP), together with Uzbekneftegaz, is exploring promising hydrocarbon fields in Ustyurt plateau. the Head of Safety and Operational Risk at BP, Gordon Birell said.
He noted that provisional data show signs of commercially attractive reserves in one of the fields, he said adding that BP was interested in exploring other fields in Uzbekistan in order to determine the possibility of gas production.
The company executives are reportedly planning to attend the Oil and Gas Uzbekistan-2019 conference and exhibition to discuss the said projects.
