The official foundation stone laying ceremony for the new glass production and deep processing unit, to be built by the Chinese Minyuan Sylu, took place on December 16 at Jizzakh free economic zone, Xinhua said.
The total project cost is $110 million. According to schedule, the first milestone will be completed in May 2017 and full commissioning is due in September 2019. From then, the facility will become the largest manufacturer and supplier of sheet glass in Central Asia.
